Why did you start keto?
Initially, it was just to lose weight before my wedding. Now that I understand ALL of the benefits, I do it for my mental and physical health as well!
What was the hardest part of keto and how did you overcome it?
I think the hardest thing in my journey to overcome was wading through all of the conflicting opinions out there. Whether it was from doctors saying carbs were needed for health or keto gurus saying that protein needed to be low, it took time to learn to listen to my body and figure out what type of keto works for ME.
Biggest changes in your day-to-day life?
Not thinking about food all the time!
Best tip for newbies?
Don’t feel like you have to do everything all at once (fasting, grass-finished meat, MCT oil, exercise, etc.). Just start with a small change (like eating more protein!) and master that before adding a new challenge! Progress over perfection!
If there is one thing that you could tell yourself when first getting started, what would it be and why?
Eat more protein!
